The St. Bruno Nabitimpa Primary School is located in the Mubende District of Central Uganda. The school has 411 pupils (221 girls and 190 boys), of whom 37 are orphans.
St. Bruno Nabitimpa Primary School is centrally located between three villages. Before the well was built, the nearest source of fresh water was a shallow well, 2kms away. Because of the distance to the shallow well, the school and community were using an open pond for their water, which was very unhealthy and dangerous.
The school does have working pit latrines that have been working for two years.
You can see in the pictures how pleased the children now are to have a well which provides safe, clean water at their school.
