A non-profit organization providing water wells and sanitation systems to schools in Africa

Mama Kevina is a Primary, Secondary and Nursery School. The school is both a boarding school and a day school and there is even a hospital on the school grounds that serves the school and the local community. The school is made up of about 80% orphaned children.

This project was a collaboration between Drop in the Bucket and Rotary International. Rotary is involved with several projects in the area and asked Drop in the Bucket if we could install a well and toilets for them.

Located on the top of Mr. Elgon in Uganda are three adjacent schools that had UN-supplied rainwater-harvesting tanks as their only source of water. One of the schools is the Leonard Cheshire School for Disabled Children. Another is the St. Joseph’s Vocational School, and the third is the Busumbu Primary School.
