One out of every 8 people on the planet lacks access to clean water
My guess is if you are reading this you are one of the lucky ones that does have water. So how can you help the ones that don’t?
Drop in the Bucket provides fresh water to thousands of people in Africa every month but we couldn’t do it without your help.
We’re delighted that you’re thinking of organising a fundraiser to support Drop in the Bucket so we’ve prepared a few tips to help you get started:
1. Decide how much money you’d like to raise
Setting a target gives you great goal to work towards. It’s up to you how much money you’d like to raise and we’re grateful for all donations, but as a quick guide just $100 can provide clean water to a family and $600 will pay for a hand pump for a well. If you want to try something bigger, a well for an entire school can cost as little as $6000.
2. Decide on a fundraising idea
The possibilities are endless, but it’s best to make your fundraising event or project fun and easy for other people to get involved with. You could organise a bake sale, car wash or sponsored walk for example. Visit the fundraising ideas page for inspiration!
3. Create a fundraising page
Just follow this link to set up your page with some information about yourself and an outline of your fundraising event. You can post pictures and video, you can also track how much money you have raised and how close you are to reaching your target amount.

I really want to help and i am finding the best way to do so. Keep up the great work!
