Drop in the Bucket’s Executive Director Stacey Travis sent this photo yesterday and I thought it really summed up why we do what we do. It’s a child from the Kololo Primary School in the Nimule District of the Equatoria Region of South Sudan looking on as the drillers at his school start to complete the well there. No more walking miles for water, no more standing on line with lots of adults pushing him out of the way, no more drinking muddy water from rivers or ditches, no more getting sick from having to drink water contaminated with parasites.
I love this photo and wanted to share it.
