The Alogoro Primary School is in the village Alogoro. There is no road leading to the village, so you have to drive through sunflower fields to access the area.

The parents opened the school a few years ago. All around northern Uganda, but particularly in this area children are being kidnapped and disappearing. The locals say it is the work of traffickers selling the children for use in sacrificial witchcraft ceremonies.
As there was no school in the village the children from Alogoro were having to walk 7 kms to the nearest school. So two local farmers donated the land and the parents opened this school so the very young children would not have to walk so far. As of right now the school is only nursery, P1 & P2 right now. Next year they want to add P3. The school even provides a cooked meal each day for the children as the villagers are very well organized, however they do not have the money or the means to provide a well without help.
The current water source in 1 km away and it is a pond that is full of polluted water. Animals also drink from this pond and the children are often very sick from having to drink there.
