All 4 the Kids Hosts Second Annual “Night of Giving” Event to Benefit Children of Global Action Sports Destinations

LONG BEACH, CA, January 5, 2009 -- All 4 the Kids is happy to announce the that their second annual “Night Of Giving” gala event will take place on March 27th at the Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach. Featuring live music by Bryan Nieruchalski and a live Beatles Cover Band, an art show and a silent auction, all monies raised through the event will go to Drop in the Bucket, a non-profit organization dedicated to building water wells in impoverished nations around the world.

All 4 the Kids was founded by three-time national amateur champion and former WQS Pro Mike Reilly, who along with a select group of friends, wanted to make a positive impact in the lives of the children he saw when traveling the world surfing. With Mike’s travel experience in mind, each All 4 the Kids fundraising activity will focus on a specific initiative that directly affects the lives of children living at or near a popular action sports destinations.

In 2009, All 4 the Kids raised more than $16,000 for Surf Aid and their quest to help impoverished children in Indonesia. This year, the All 4 the Kids board and supporters voted nearly unanimously to support Drop in the Bucket. By relying on a network of volunteers and donations from philanthropic minded organizations, All 4 the Kids operates with virtually no overhead and supporters can feel confident that their donation will be directly applied to the cause of bettering or saving a child’s life.

“There is a huge need to provide drinking water to those that do not have it,” commented Reilly. “More than a billion people worldwide live without safe drinking water and everyday over 25,000 of them die from preventable, water-related illnesses. Drop in the Bucket is dedicated to combating this deadly water crisis, by installing water wells and sanitation systems at schools and villages throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
