For her 12th Birthday Leah Grace Nelson Wilensky collected money from her friends instead of birthday gifts, she donated it all to Drop in the Bucket. That heartwarming contribution went toward the Mudodo school project in Uganda.

Leah lives in Los Angeles, California with her parents, Sonia Nelson, Lloyd Wilensky, her older brother Aaron, and their dog Winnie. She will be thirteen in January. Leah spends hours reading books and gossip magazines, taking hip hop dance classes, and volunteering at a Bassett Hound rescue center called Daphenyland.

The LaFrancis Hardiman School in Wyandanch, New York just recently completed raising money for a well in Uganda. These Kindergarten through Second Grade kids spent three months raising awareness and cash in the community by recycling, raising money from friends, families and local businesses, selling water & snacks and by selling holiday gifts.

These are the students of the Meridian Medical Arts Charter High School in Idaho. After hearing about the water situation in Africa from a school counselor named Scott Herdegen they decided they were going to pay for a complete water system for a school in Uganda. Their goal was challenging. With an entire student body of just 190, they had to come up with other creative ways to earn extra funds. By creating contests between the different grades and asking neighbors and friends, raised over $7000 in the first week! It didn't take long before they became the first school in America to have raised the money for a complete water system with Drop in the Bucket.
